This tutorial will explore functions.
A function is a mathematical machine that relates an output (y) to an input (x). Functions are usually written with f(x) as opposed to “y”.
The x values are referred to as the Domain.
The y values are referred to as the Range.
Functions in Tables
Functions in tables have no repeating x’s.
Functions in Mapping
Each x value has one arrow each pointing to the y’s.
Functions in Graphs
Graphs should only touch a vertical line one time.
Functions in Ordered Pairs
Ordered pairs will not have any repeating x’s.
Here is a video tutorial comparing fractions.
